A disciple is a follower of Jesus, not just a fan of Jesus. But I’ve also given you the outline so that you can take notes and do a little bit of active listening this morning, because this is an extremely important topic.ġ. So are you and I disciples? Well, what is a disciple? What does it look like to be a disciple of Christ? And I hope you’ll fully apply your hearts and minds to what I’ll have to say.īut before we can even think about how we as a parish can make disciples for Christ in any way, we have to ask the question, Are you and I disciples of Christ? We cannot help in the process of making disciples if we are not disciples ourselves. So that will be my task during Lent: to outline for you, in a fairly uncomplicated way, what that Classical Anglican Way of making disciples is. We won’t do a very good job of fulfilling that mission if we don’t know what the Classical Anglican Way of making disciples of Christ is.
